About
Jan Lorenz is an independent communication designer (M.A.) based in Heusenstamm, Germany. Besides working for clients in mainly cultural fields, he initiates and engages in projects with the focus on interpersonal communication and social interaction. From 2011 – 2013 he has been a member of the jury of the poster contest for design students held by the Association of German Student Services (Deutsches Studentenwerk).

Having passed an apprenticeship as a media designer with distinction in 2007 and the bachelor degree in communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden in 2013, he recently completed the Masters degree at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz, concentrating on design for participation, also with distinction.

His masterthesis »Der Gebärdensprachbutton« has been awarded in 2015 with the Prize of the council of the University of Applied Sciences Mainz.
